Disaster Relief fall training opportunities announced
JEFFERSON CITY – Missouri Baptist Disaster Relief (DR) invites Missouri Baptists to train to participate in disaster call-outs. There will be two training sessions held in the southern and western parts of the state to equip future and current volunteers. Becoming a DR volunteer provides an excellent opportunity for hands-on service to people in need. Training is open to any member of a Southern Baptist church who is at least 18 years of age. Resolutions must be submitted before MBC annual meeting
BRANSON – According to MBC bylaws, resolutions for the MBC Annual Meeting must be submitted in writing to the Committee on Resolutions at least 60 days prior to the first session of the annual meeting. Trees, branches cleared after windstorm in Perry
PERRY – Wide-spread damage of trees and branches was reported in northeast Missouri after strong winds, up to 90 miles per hour hit the area. Al Groner, Northeast Regional Coordinator for Missouri Baptist Disaster Relief, said the Mark Twain Lake area, Monroe City, and Center all had some damage. DR teams in Missouri experience active summer
JEFFERSON CITY – MBC Disaster Relief teams have been quite busy during the late spring and early summer in Missouri. Super Summer makes impact from one generation to the next
HANNIBAL – Nearly two dozen teenagers professed faith in Christ during the Missouri Baptist Convention’s (MBC) Super Summer last month, and many more students grew in their faith throughout the camp.
