Lifepointe, Fulton, reaches next generation

Associations strive to help churches partner together to be on mission

Widow recounts God’s faithfulness following husband’s death during mission trip in Mexico

CAMDENTON – While on a mission trip in San Felipe Usila in the state of Oaxaca, Mexico, in September 2024, a member of First Baptist Church, Camdenton, Mike Luttrell, suffered a cardiac arrest and died while walking down a street in the village. FBC Fair Play reenacts Nativity story

FAIR PLAY – For over 20 years a living Christmas Nativity has sprung to life in December in this small southwest Missouri town. The First Baptist Church here opens up a Christmas Village to share the story of Jesus’ birth to the area’s residents. Pastor David Stunkel said this effort is an outreach to their community. Concord Baptist Association ministers in El Salvador

CANDELARIA DE LA FRONTERA, El Salvador – The Concord Baptist Association sent five mission team members to El Salvador in early October, establishing a partnership with four churches in the region of Candelaria de La Frontera. The team was led by two pastors, Jared Rivera and Noah Angel. They were in El Salvador, Oct. 1-8. Car show outreach event at First Baptist, Annapolis, draws nearly 100 people

ANNAPOLIS – The parking lot was full of classic cars along with their proud owners as the First Baptist Church here hosted their 25th annual car show October 11th.  It was one of the features offered in the town’s Freedom Fest that weekend. SPRINGFIELD – The Way Church Francophone is a new congregation started with the intent of reaching French-speaking people in Springfield. Women in Dallas County Association offer ministry retreats for 25 years

BUFFALO – For a quarter of a century the women in Dallas County Baptist Association of Southern Baptists have been gathering for retreats, fellowship, discipleship, missions and encouragement. They started doing this in 2001. They have continued every year since that time. Supreme Court ruling removes gag on Colorado Christian counselor, raises questions about Kansas City-area restrictions

In a sweeping First Amendment decision issued March 31, the United States Supreme Court removed a virtual gag on free speech which the state of Colorado had imposed on Christian counselors when talking to minors about their sexuality. The Chiles decision has immediate implications beyond Colorado—including within the state of Missouri.
