Gasconade Valley Baptist Association explores mission work in Poland
BLAND – The Gasconade Valley Baptist Association is considering ways they can assist the Warsaw Bible Church in Warsaw, Poland. This church ministers to many refugees from Ukraine, and their numbers have swelled considerably since Russia invaded the Ukraine homeland of these refugees. First Baptist Church, Elsey, sustains damage in tornado
CRANE, Mo. – The First Baptist Church of Elsey, located near Crane, sustained roof damages in a tornado on Monday night, Nov. 4. The church building has pretty serious roof damage from a tornado that struck about 6:15 that evening. The National Weather service indicated the path of the EF-0 tornado was about 1.5 miles, touching down about a mile west of the church. One other home was reported to have damage from the twister. Strasburg Baptist majors on children, families
STRASBURG – The population of the town of Strasburg is 107, according to the last census. There are a lot of small towns in Missouri that are similar size. But the Strasburg Baptist Church has more people attending on a given Sunday than the population of the town. INDEPENDENCE – Bill Denman retired from construction work in his early 60s. He had used heavy equipment machinery to build water and sewer lines most of his adult life. Association aims to share gospel, plant churches among more than 2 million people in St. Louis area
ST. LOUIS – Darren Casper believes in missions. As the executive director of the St. Louis Metro Baptist Association, he leads a staff of eight full and part-time missionaries. Their task is to equip churches to reach out with the gospel to the city of over 300,000 people and a little over 2 million people living on the Missouri side of the greater St. Louis metro area. First Baptist Lebanon gives new life to church that founded it in 1891
LEBANON – In 1882 the New Hope Baptist Church was established in the community of Russ, located southeast of Lebanon. Within nine years, in 1891, that church started another church in Lebanon, which became First Baptist Church. About three years ago the New Hope Church had declined to the point that there were only a few members meeting for Bible study, and it didn’t seem feasible to keep the church open.
