Star in ‘Courageous’ movie, announced as HLGU Booster Banquet speaker

HANNIBAL – Hannibal-LaGrange University announced Ken Bevel, pastor, actor and Marine, as the keynote speaker for the 80th Annual Booster Banquet. The banquet will be held Friday, November 19, at 7 p.m. Tickets for the banquet will be available for purchase on September 1.  The Booster Banquet is sponsored by HNB Bank. HLGU Spring Concert Announcement

HANNIBAL (HLGU) – The Hannibal-LaGrange University Department of Music will be presenting its spring concert called “A Celtic Cry!” on May 6, 2021, at 7 pm in the Parker Theatre of the Roland Fine Arts Center. The HLGU Concert Choir under the direction of Jane Griffen will perform, “Home and the Heartland,” “Cloudsong,” “Lift the Wings,” “Shivna,” and “Freedom,” all composed by Bill Whelan. HLGU’S first annual day of giving a huge success

HANNIBAL (HLGU) – Hannibal-LaGrange University’s first ever Day of Giving was a massive success. HLGU set out with a goal of 240 total gifts within the timeframe between noon on Thursday, April 15 and noon on Friday, April 16. This goal was met, with a total of 258 gifts in the 24-hour period. HLGU launches program to strengthen student’s faith

HANNIBAL – Hannibal-LaGrange University has launched a new core group program to help students strengthen their faith through a community environment. EXPLAINER: Protecting children through the 2026 Chloe Cole Act

The Chloe Cole Act of 2026, named for the advocate Chloe Cole who has publicly shared about the horrors of being pushed into “transitioning” in her early teens, prohibits gender transition procedures for minors through regulating interstate commerce. Cole will visit the Missouri Baptist Convention’s Hannibal-LaGrange University, March 25, as the featured speaker for the school’s latest Free Society events.
