JEFFERSON CITY – The Freshwater Church was the host for the 2023 Youth Evangelism Conference (YEC) held Jan. 15-16. It was sponsored by the Missouri Baptist Convention’s (MBC) Making Disciples group. This year, 461 students and youth leaders attended, an increase of 111 from the previous year’s conference. Missouri DR partnering in Turkey following earthquake
JEFFERSON CITY - Missouri Disaster Relief (MODR) has called Missouri Baptists to pray and give as they build relief partnerships in response to an earthquake in Turkey and Syria that has killed more than 35,000 people and injured many more. Coloma Baptist Church hits milestone in ministry
COLOMA/BOGARD – Coloma Baptist Church has marked 150 years of service to the Coloma area, despite the town itself dwindling significantly. Pastor Marty Sykes said the celebration was marked on Oct. 9, 2022, and included a 25-year anniversary of a new building. “The records don’t go back that far, but it’s pretty close to 150 years,” Sykes said. They set goals for their Lottie Moon Christmas Offering and plan the best visuals to use as the church strives to meet that goal.
