KANSAS CITY – Missouri Baptist churches across the state are reaching people groups once touched by the ministry of Adoniram Judson, a 19th-century pioneer missionary to Burma (modern-day Myanmar), who left an impact not only in lives transformed by the gospel but also in Bible translation. Missouri Baptists translate, distribute Scripture throughout the world
POMABAMBA, Peru – Rachel Wilson and her colleagues knew they hadn’t misused their Spanish. Last year, Wilson traveled to Peru for six months to complete her bachelor’s degree in intercultural studies at Southwest Baptist University. During her trip, she worked among the Quechua people of Peru. Since roughly half of the … [Read more...]

The reports indicate certain Bible studies or illustrated storybooks were available through searches. Two merchants told CNN the Bible could be purchased through … [Read more...]

Theirs was only one of many short-term mission teams commissioned by Ridgecrest to share Christ’s love across the globe, from Ecuador, Nicaragua and Cuba to Europe, Africa and South … [Read more...]

Church planter uses radio to highlight refugees’ plight
NOEL – Three years ago, Josh Manning was a manager at Walmart. His career was going smoothly, and planting a church wasn’t on his radar. Neither were refugees. Regular church attenders at a nearby Buffalo Creek Baptist Church, Manning and his family decided their lives were going to be different. "Pastor Andrew, who has lived in Turkey for 23 … [Read more...]
