Rep. Richey reintroduces bill enabling churches to fight abuse
JEFFERSON CITY – Missouri Baptist pastor and lawmaker Doug Richey has reintroduced a bill in the Missouri House of Representatives that, if passed and signed into law, will empower churches and other nonprofits in the state to disclose credible allegations of sexual abuse without fear of civil liability. NORBORNE – Actors portrayed the events of the Last Supper in three churches in northwest Missouri during the Easter season. The actors sat at a long table at the front of the churches and spoke about their relationship with Jesus as they entered into the drama.
