‘I Love My Church’ lets members take ownership in church’s upkeep
HUNTSVILLE – It’s a simple idea, but taking ownership of small, bite-sized projects has helped members of First Baptist Church, here complete a long list of neglected projects in and around their building. “We call it ‘I Love My Church Tuesdays,’” said John Rhodes, First Baptist’s pastor. Missouri attorney general will fight atheistic organization harassing schools

Copy machine fire prompts Baptist Building evacuation
JEFFERSON CITY – The Baptist Building was evacuated, Dec. 18, when a large copy machine caught fire on the seventh floor at approximately 11 a.m. Since the fire was extinguished soon after it started, there was no apparent structural damage to the building. One Missouri Baptist Convention (MBC) staff member was treated on the scene for smoke inhalation, but occupants in the building were otherwise unharmed.
