Following is another in a series of columns on the Baptist Faith & Message 2000. Article IV of The Baptist Faith & Message 2000 reads: “Salvation involves the redemption of the whole man, and is offered freely to all who accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour, who by His own blood obtained eternal redemption for the believer. KANSAS CITY – There are many internationals living in Missouri. Especially in the urban areas of the state, the population in many locations hails from all over the world. But the question for many MBC church members is “How can I get to know these people?” And then, “How can I share Christ with internationals?” There are three festivals being planned and Missouri Baptist leaders are urging people to go to these international celebrations and meet people. The hope is that relationships … [Read more...]

The reflection in the mirror is wrong
Last spring, I inherited an office space that had been used by other leaders for over two decades. One of the room’s handsome adornments was a very large, heavily framed mirror that seemed ideal for ensuring one looked their best prior to a meeting or formal engagement. However, something was not right. Although the mirror provided a full body reflection, the perspective the mirror provided was wrong. The reason was that this mirror was a “Motel Mirror” designed to be hung vertically. … [Read more...]

And more than 100 college students are serving in Missouri Baptist churches as … [Read more...]

BRIDGETON – Despite continued attacks across the nation on pregnancy care centers and other pro-life organizations, ministries that uphold the sanctity of life are standing firm in their efforts to give hope and healing to parents and children, especially those in crisis situations. In the beginning man was innocent of sin and was endowed by his Creator with freedom of choice. By his free choice man sinned against God and brought … [Read more...]
