JEFFERSON CITY – Maddy Atwell has the assignment to oversee Disaster Relief college interns during the summer months. She had 12 students in the program this summer. MBC sued by SBU’s opponents
BOLIVAR – The Missouri Baptist Convention (MBC) was named as a defendant along with Southwest Baptist University (SBU) in a lawsuit that was filed on Aug. 25 in Polk County, Mo., Circuit Court, in a pending case involving court approval of SBU’s amended articles of incorporation. SBU hosts kickoff event for new agriculture minor starting in 2022
BOLIVAR (SBU) – Recognizing that agriculture is a major economic driver in Missouri and particularly in southwest Missouri, Southwest Baptist University is adding a minor in agriculture, with classes starting in 2022. HLGU campus damaged by wind, rain
HANNIBAL – Days before Hannibal-LaGrange University (HLGU) opened for new students and fall semester classes, a nasty windstorm and accompanying rain damaged the campus. The main damage from the late afternoon storm, Aug. 12, was to the student center in the middle of the campus, where a large section of the roof was stripped off and thrown to the ground.
