HLGU’S first annual day of giving a huge success
HANNIBAL (HLGU) – Hannibal-LaGrange University’s first ever Day of Giving was a massive success. HLGU set out with a goal of 240 total gifts within the timeframe between noon on Thursday, April 15 and noon on Friday, April 16. This goal was met, with a total of 258 gifts in the 24-hour period. MBTS Spurgeon Library receives donation, releases latest ‘Lost Sermons’ volumes
KANSAS CITY – The Spurgeon Library at Midwestern Seminary recently added to its growing collection of resources courtesy of a generous donation from Leroy Cole, a former longtime pastor in the Flint, Michigan area. The donation adds hundreds of new volumes and historical artifacts to the Spurgeon Library, including original editions of Spurgeon’s own publications and secondary sources written about the 19th century Baptist preacher. BOLIVAR (SBU) – Three Southwest Baptist University students recently were named the recipients of two of the University’s prestigious awards – the Stanley H. Dill Distinguished Scholar Award and the Chaney Scholar Awards – which are among SBU’s largest endowed scholarships. The Stanley H. BOLIVAR (SBU) – Southwest Baptist University is establishing a concert series endowment and music scholarship endowment with the proceeds of an estate gift from the Blanche Wallen Trust. The University’s Board of Trustees voted to establish the endowments during its regular meeting April 20.
