Pentagon to fund service members’ travel for abortions
WASHINGTON (BP) – The Biden administration’s nationwide campaign to promote abortion access made another advance Thursday (Oct. 20) – this time at the Pentagon. Fire in Wooldridge destroys much of town, damages Baptist church
WOOLDRIDGE – A raging wildfire on Saturday, Oct. 22, swept into this Cooper County village, nearly destroying the community and severely damaging the Baptist church building. Wooldridge is a community of approximately 40 residents. The fire started in a nearby grain field, which was ignited by a malfunctioning combine. Half of pastors say the economy is hurting their church
NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Individuals aren’t the only ones facing consequences of inflation and other negative economic factors in the U.S., as many pastors say their churches are being harmed as well. A Lifeway Research study of U.S. Protestant pastors found 52% say the current economy is having a negative impact on their churches. For 40%, the economic circumstances aren’t having any effect. Disaster Relief volunteers ‘rebuild’ homes affected by Hayti tornado
HAYTI HEIGHTS – On the evening of Dec. 12, 2021, a devastating EF4 tornado ripped through the small Bootheel town of Hayti Heights in southern Missouri’s Pemiscot County. The giant wedge tornado began its destruction in Jonesboro, Ark. and made its way more than 260 miles to western Kentucky.
