BOLIVAR — Dr. Eric. A. Turner of Pocahontas, Ark., was unanimously selected the 25th president of Southwest Baptist University on July 20 in a special meeting of the SBU Board of Trustees. Pat Taylor is retiring Aug. 31, and the public is invited to a come-and-go retirement reception from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 4, in the Sells Administrative Center on the Bolivar campus. JEFFERSON CITY – Churches may still obtain voter registration packets prepared by the Missouri Baptist Convention’s Christian Life Commission. Missouri DR deploys after 17 killed on Branson area lake
BRANSON – Seventeen people, including children, died yesterday (July 19) after a sudden violent storm capsized a "duck boat" on Table Rock Lake near the tourist hotspot of Branson, Mo.
