MEMPHIS – There was a time when camp meetings were held on church grounds. People brought camping gear and spent time fellowshipping together, eating dinner on the grounds and having all-day singing and preaching. BLUE SPRINGS – Ron Mills was desperate over 37 years ago and needed hope. Once he found it, he’s brought it since 1987 to other desperate people as a vocational evangelist. LEWISTOWN – A prayer service for rain drew approximately 60 people to the Lewis County Fairgrounds in northeast Missouri on June 8. The service was ecumenical, with approximately 10 churches from northeast Missouri, representing at least four denominations. Former Missouri DOM arrested on sex crime charges
COLFAX, La. (BP) – Daryl Stagg, 60, a Southern Baptist associational mission strategist (AMS) serving dozens of churches in north central Louisiana, is jailed on 12 counts of felony sex crimes, the Grant Parish Sheriff’s Office reported. Stagg previously served as a Director of Missions at the Harmony Baptist Association in Sedalia, Mo., from 2012-2018, according to his LinkedIn profile and Missouri Baptist Convention records. Meramec Association partners with Baptist Homes
IRONTON – More than 40 people from churches in the Meramec Baptist Association went on mission at the Baptist Homes of Arcadia Valley here, May 22-25.
