Association again gives summer help to HLGU
HANNIBAL – One might call it “blessed clockwork.” Gasconade Valley Baptist Association (GVBA) spent a week in early June hosting volunteers and helping Hannibal-LaGrange University (HLGU) with summer projects. MBC collegiate missionaries mentor summer interns to be disciple-makers
JEFFERSON CITY – This summer, 86 college students are serving as interns through the Summer Missions program, funded by the MBC. For ten weeks, collegiate interns are paired with a mentor through a local church or ministry to assist with a variety of work while receiving an inside look at their mentor’s life and ministry. Hannibal-LaGrange University plans to train 20 men per year to minister to their incarcerated peers. JEFFERSON CITY – Missouri Baptist Disaster Relief volunteers don’t need to wait until a tornado strikes or flood waters threaten to serve their communities in Jesus’s name. The DR network has partnered with the United States Department of Agriculture in a program that connects food providers to local nonprofits to feed the hungry.
