WASHINGTON (BP) – The U.S. Supreme Court overturned a nationwide abortion regime Friday (June 24) that lasted nearly half a century and resulted in the deaths of more than 60 million preborn children. In a 5-4 opinion, the high court overruled the 1973 Roe v. Wade decision that struck down all state abortion bans and legalized the procedure throughout the country. The justices also invalidated the 1992 Planned Parenthood v. Casey opinion that affirmed Roe. The opinion in Dobbs v. … [Read more...]

Thrilled to the max
Not going to lie, I like shopping. A lot. There’s a real charge in the thrill of the hunt for that illusive bargain. Okay, I’ll admit I laughed at myself when I said there’s a real “charge” there. Shopping humor. The kind of humor my husband might not find as entertaining as I do. Because he pays the bills, yes, but also because he despises shopping. De-SPIZE-es it. He once told me he’s pretty convinced that every time he goes shopping, it actually takes years off his life. He said he … [Read more...]

Crawly things moved all over the rancid slab of off-colored meat. The village leader reverently handed it to the visiting missionary, motioning for him to eat. If the missionary ate the entire thing, he would be granted access to the village and allowed to share about Jesus’ saving grace. Henry Phan watched in amazement as his father … [Read more...]
