“But someone will ask, “How are the dead raised? With what kind of body will they come? How foolish! What you sow does not come to life unless it dies.” – I Cor. 15:35, 36 Even very young children wonder about death. God has created us with a curiosity that causes all to seek answers. We make a mistake when we think we must wait until children are a certain age to learn about death and the resurrection. When they start asking questions, we need to provide answers at a rate and depth they … [Read more...]

Will a man dare rob God?

These are important questions, and every sincere Christian wants to get the answers right. The Bible is our authority – and the last word on this issue. While it isn’t possible in this article to conduct an exhaustive study, we may highlight what the Old and New Testaments have to say. What does the Bible really say about tithing?

These questions – and others – are addressed in a new video and Bible study just released by the Missouri Baptist Convention. The video/study package is called, “Will a man rob God? What good is Christian apologetics?
Apologetics simply is a reasonable defense of the Christian faith. The word is derived from the Greek noun apologia and means “a defense.” Apologia and its verb form apologeomai are used nearly 20 times in the New Testament, often in the classic legal sense, but more importantly to describe the call of God to all believers to defend the Christian faith with gentleness and respect (1 Pet. 3:15-16). But how is sound doctrine applied practically? Put another way, what good is Christian … [Read more...]

Challenge of homosexuality
R. Albert Mohler Jr. LOUISVILLE, Ky.
