Southwest Baptist University accreditation reaffirmed
BOLIVAR – The Higher Learning Commission (HLC) board voted to reaffirm Southwest Baptist University’s accreditation with no concerns. SBU was placed on the Standard Pathway 10-Year cycle at HLC’s board meeting on Thursday, Nov. 2. The university received notification of the result of the vote on Wednesday, Nov. 8. SBU trustees adopt new strategic plan
BOLIVAR – Southwest Baptist University is the only college in the Coalition of Christian Colleges and Universities to include the word “caring” in its mission statement, SBU President Rick Melson told Trustees at their Fall meeting. KANSAS CITY, Mo (MBTS) – The Spurgeon Library at Midwestern Seminary has announced its recent acquisition of the Heritage Collection from Spurgeon’s College UK. The collection consists of thousands of books, manuscripts, letters, artifacts, newspaper cuttings, and more from Charles Spurgeon. FBC Willard VBS offering pays school’s lunch debt
WILLARD – Children and families involved in the Vacation Bible School program at First Baptist Church here raised $3,600 for the Willard school district – allowing the district to start the school year without any lunch debt remaining from the previous year. “There was $2,800 in student debt for lunches, so we put out the challenge to another group of people, and they just kept giving and giving,” said Pastor Mark Milioni, according to KY3 News.
