Gospel witness to shine bright during Aug. 21 solar eclipse
JEFFERSON CITY – Next month, the midday sun will go completely dark over Missouri for the first time in 148 years, and many Missouri Baptists plan to reach out to their communities during the unique event. Mo. appeals court rules against transgender student
KANSAS CITY – In a decision that bucks the trend of courts in other states, the Western Division of the Missouri Court of Appeals ruled, in a 2-1 decision, July 18 that a biological girl transitioning to be a boy must continue to use a locker room for girls. BREAKING: Missouri Senate passes major pro-life bill
JEFFERSON CITY – By a vote of 22-9, the Missouri Senate today (July 25) passed an earlier House version of one of the strongest pro-life pieces of legislation ever for the state. An attempt to send a weaker version of a Senate bill approved earlier to a House/Senate conference committee failed and ultimately 22 Republicans united to pass the stronger version. Put me at the head of the class when it comes to criticizing public officials when I think they have made a poor decision. MBC Board increases 2018 CP goal
JEFFERSON CITY – Reflecting a recent increase of Cooperative Program (CP) giving within the state, Missouri Baptist Convention (MBC) Executive Board members increased its 2018 CP goal. Churches hope to pack million meals for St. Louisans
ST. CHARLES – Most Americans just go to the pantry or refrigerator when they get hungry, but hundreds in poverty don’t have that option. Missouri Baptists are taking the lead feeding these hurting families as well as creating a community witnessing event to pack one million meals on August 26-27 at the St. Charles Family Arena.
