HANNIBAL – Across Missouri and the United States, churches began promoting the Week of Prayer for International Missions and the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering in November. They set goals for their Lottie Moon Christmas Offering and plan the best visuals to use as the church strives to meet that goal. LOWRY CITY – The First Baptist Church here held its fifth Wild Game Dinner and Sportsman’s Extravaganza Sat., Oct. 15, with over 450 in attendance. School doubles in size as Lebanon churches join hands to provide Christian education
LEBANON – Two churches in Lebanon have shown that Gospel partnership multiplies ministry. Since 2020, Heritage Baptist Church and Hillcrest Baptist Church here have provided space for The Cross Christian School, a K-12 private Christian school, to hold classes. Branson church finds freedom via million dollar debt payoff
BRANSON – Friendly Baptist Church here, a congregation with about 110 average Sunday attendance, had a debt problem – to the tune of $1.8 million. When Monty Dunn became pastor in 2014, the debt had been reduced to $1.35 million, but through practical and some unique circumstances, the church paid off the full debt 96 months later, in August 2022. Missouri Baptists approach $1 million in MMO giving
JEFFERSON CITY – Missouri Baptists gave more to state missions in 2022 than in any previous year, setting a new record of $990,740 for the Rheubin L. South Missouri Missions Offering (MMO), according to just-released preliminary figures. Total MMO receipts for 2022, which are disbursed in 2023, outpaced the goal of $740,000 and shattered the previous record of $824,436 set in 2021. 2022 marked the 10th straight year of MMO receipts above $700,000.
