Twenty people baptized at Bonne Terre church
BONNE TERRE – Rejoicing angels and the joyful congregation of Sonrise Baptist Church of Bonne Terre had reason to celebrate with 20 baptisms in one service. “We had several men in the congregation who wanted baptism,” Daniel Weyand, pastor, said, “as well as several children from the Wednesday night program.” One of the men wanting baptism was a surprise to the congregation. BOZIENI, Moldova (IMB) – Moldova, a small and impoverished nation bordering Ukraine, has received an estimated one refugee for every 25 Moldovans. Most refugees are being housed and cared for by churches in the Moldovan Baptist Union. The Moldovan Baptist Union has more than 400 churches. Missouri DR responds to New Mexico wildfires
RUIDOSO, N.M. – Sometimes people have a bad day and then sometimes they have a “really bad day.” For 207 homeowners in the mountains of southern New Mexico, it was a really bad day on April 12th. A windstorm blew in with 90 MPH winds and knocked down a power line. That in turn sparked a wildfire across the mountains full of dry timber. Potosi Community Church reaches into community to share God’s love
POTOSI – For Keeli Singer, missions is homegrown and local. She’s a member of Potosi Community Church in southeast Missouri and a public school art teacher. BUCHAREST, Romania – The Cristi and Michelle Harlea family serving here tripled their household recently by opening their home to Ukrainian refugees. “In our home, we have two (Ukrainian) families. The first family is 10 people, with grandparents, parents, and their six children ranging in age from 24 to six. New VBS project teaches students about missions on their level

LOUIS – Vacation Bible School has a new missions education opportunity this year through Pennies for Pupils, a project that aids a Kenyan school founded by Missouri Baptist layperson George “the Shoeman” Hutchings. The program connects children with children through participatory missions and teaches that no amount is too little in the hands of God, he says.
