(IMB) – International Mission Board trustees approved the appointment of 46 new full-time, fully funded missionaries, while also honoring the service of 87 missionaries and staff during their Feb. 1-2 meeting in Richmond, Virginia. Missouri DR partnering in Turkey following earthquake
JEFFERSON CITY - Missouri Disaster Relief (MODR) has called Missouri Baptists to pray and give as they build relief partnerships in response to an earthquake in Turkey and Syria that has killed more than 35,000 people and injured many more. Last fall, Missouri Baptists voted to create a partnership between MODR and SEND Relief in Turkey and Central Asia. Revival fires stir again at Asbury
WILMORE, Ky. (BP) – Revival fires may be stirring again at a small college in rural Kentucky near Lexington. Services, filled with preaching, singing and personal testimonies, have been ongoing at Asbury University and Theological Seminary since Feb. 8. (BP) – Violence against Christians is spiking in Sub-Saharan Africa, driven by violence nurtured in Nigeria by Islamic and Fulani terrorists, Open Doors U.S. said Jan. 17 in its 2023 World Watch List tracking Christian persecution globally.
