Midwestern Seminary introduces new “This Week in Church History” podcast

KANSAS CITY – Midwestern Seminary announced the addition of a new resource dedicated to serving the local church, a podcast entitled, “This Week in Church History.” The podcast will launch on March 17 with a goal of taking a historical episode and refocusing it back toward the church. Midwestern Seminary welcomed over 1,000 students from more than 90 local and regional churches on Jan. 24-25 for its annual Ready Conference, which exists to equip the youth of the church to defend their faith. MBTS ‘Day of Sharing’ proclaims gospel

KANSAS CITY (BP) – Nearly 100 Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and Spurgeon College students, faculty and staff partnered with local area churches on Sept. 10 to proclaim the Gospel during an annual outreach event known as the "One Great Day of Sharing." Canvassing the greater Kansas City metro area, teams of four walked door to door sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Protesting: How should churches respond?

The Evangelical world was shocked on Jan. 18, 2026, when a group of roughly 30 protestors invaded Cities Church in St. Paul, Minn., during a worship service. While Christians aren’t surprised when unbelievers sin, we were shocked to see the sacred space of religious worship attacked so blatantly. This remarkable action should lead Christians and churches to think clearly about what the Bible says regarding protesting and how churches should biblically respond.
