Baptist Homes acquires three new campuses
JEFFERSON CITY – For the first time in its 108-year history, Baptist Homes will be acquiring three new campuses via acquisition. Following unanimous board approval in April, Baptist Homes & Healthcare Ministries is set to assume ownership of the Truman Gardens and Chateau in Independence, Missouri, as of July 1st. MBU Trustees approve faculty appointment

Baptist Heritage scholarships awarded to three university students by Historical Commission
JACKSON – In their semi-annual meeting the Missouri Baptist Convention Historical Commission awarded three Baptist Heritage scholarships to students at three Missouri Baptist affiliated universities. The $2,000 scholarships are made in cooperation with Hannibal-LaGrange University, Southwest Baptist University and Missouri Baptist University. MBC, NAMB agree to SEND strategy
JEFFERSON CITY – MBC Executive Director John Yeats signed an agreement with the North American Mission Board (NAMB), May 21, that clarifies church-planting lanes of responsibility for both organizations – and, in effect, makes Missouri what NAMB describes as a Send Network state (SN Missouri). JACKSON – The Missouri Baptist Convention Historical Commission met April 26th at First Baptist Church, Jackson. After a meeting and lunch the commissioners moved to the historic Old Bethel Church just outside of Jackson. Baptist Homes trustees OK purchase of facility
JEFFERSON CITY – Trustees of the Baptist Homes & Healthcare Ministries approved the purchase of a new facility in Adrian, a town south of Kansas City, on April 20 during a Zoom meeting. Prior to the April 20th vote, trustees participated in two Zoom question-and-answer sessions about the purchase of the Adrian Manor Nursing Home and Crystal Manor Independent Living Facility in Adrian. SBU establishes community concert series and scholarship endowments with estate proceeds
BOLIVAR (SBU) – Southwest Baptist University is establishing a concert series endowment and music scholarship endowment with the proceeds of an estate gift from the Blanche Wallen Trust.
