Missouri DR sends team to help with relief efforts after Maui wildfire
LAHAINA, Maui, Hawaii – In the past, a trip to Hawaii frequently meant the start of a dream vacation. That hasn’t always been the case, though, since a massive wildfire swept through the town of Lahaina earlier this year. In response, Missouri Baptist Disaster Relief was deployed to Hawaii, Nov. 8-22, to help in one of the areas devastated by the summer wildfires that claimed at least 100 lives. KC ministry aims to be ‘church’s welcome mat’ this Christmas
KANSAS CITY – On Saturday, Dec. 16, one Kansas City ministry plans to distribute more than 100 Christmas baskets across the city. Volunteers with Refuge KC will deliver baskets of donated gifts to the homes of refugees from all over the world. Vandalism damages Warsaw church amid holiday season
WARSAW – The New Home Baptist Church sits outside of Warsaw, just down the road from the Baptist Ridge Camp of Fellowship Baptist Association. In late November they were plagued by a series of increasingly drastic vandalism incidents. The damages from four separate incidents are estimated to be in the tens of thousands of dollars, according to church officials. BHHM’s Arcadia Valley campus marks 100 years
IRONTON – During a special banquet, Oct. 27, The Baptist Homes & Healthcare Ministries (BHHM) celebrated 100 years of caring for the aging at its Arcadia Valley campus here.
