MBC rolls out new podcast

December 22, 2012 By The Pathway

JEFFERSON CITY — A podcast known as mb:OnAir, the latest in a string of resources that have been and are being created by the communications department of the Missouri Baptist Convention (MBC), was released Nov. 28.

The first of these monthly podcasts was distributed to Missouri Baptists by means of an electronic newsletter that was earlier developed by Rob Phillips, communications team leader. It featured a five-question, seven-minute interview with MBC Executive Director John Yeats in which he shares his vision.

“Let us rise from the ashes of our past and be the people of promise who are renewed by God’s Spirit,” Yeats said.

Future podcast interviews will touch on topics of interest within MBC life that impact Missouri Southern Baptists in local ministry contexts. State missionaries will discuss such things as The Pathway, the work of the Missouri Woman’s Missionary Union, and the blending of evangelism/discipleship through the telling of Bible stories, to name a few, Phillips said.

The new podcast resource is available free of charges, thanks to the generous giving of Missouri Baptists through the Cooperative Program (CP), at www.mobaptist.org.
