WMU gets new board members

JEFFERSON CITY – The Missouri Women’s Missionary Union (WMU) Board recently announced the election of new board members. The new members took office immediately following the annual meeting in April in Ellisville.
The East Central Region Consultant position became open when Joan Dotson accepted the position of Missionary Advocate. The new East Central Region Consultant is Julie Norris. Julie is on the staff of First Baptist Church, Hillsboro.
Due to the resignation of Wandalea Scone, there is also a new Consultant in the Southwest. Edna White, a member of Southgate Baptist Church, Springfield, is the new Southwest Region Consultant. She also serves as the Greene County Association WMU Director.
Kim Knight of Viburnum, has been selected as the Mission Friends/Preschool Specialist. Kim is an ex-officio member of the Missouri WMU Board.
The theme for the 2006 annual meeting will be “Missions Footprint – The Impact of a Christ Follower” The meeting will be held at Forest Park Baptist Church, Joplin April 28-29.
