Nominating Committee still needs candidates for MBC boards

June 14, 2005

FREDERICKTOWN – The Missouri Baptist Convention (MBC) Nominating Committee is still seeking candidates to fill openings on trustee boards, according to Tom Johnson, chairman, who is the pastor of First Baptist Church, Fredericktown. People are encouraged to visit the MBC Website at www.mobaptist.org/home/nominations to participate by submitting nominations.

Johnson said the Nominating Committee is interested in people who have some type of gift or talent to bring to Missouri Southern Baptist life.

“We need those business talents, accounting talents, banking talents and doctor talents,” he said. “With the Baptist Home and the Children’s Home, we need some doctors. And we need pastors, too.”

Johnson said he is looking for new people. “We don’t want to keep working the same people through (the system).”

People are encouraged to visit the MBC Website at www.mobaptist.org/home/nominations to participate by submitting nominations.
