MBC Church Planting Department prepares for Acts 1:8 conference

JEFFERSON CITY – The Missouri Baptist Convention (MBC) Church Planting Department is hosting a Acts 1:8 Global Missions Connection 2005 conference May 23-24 at First Baptist Church, O’Fallon.

Speaking at the conference will be Bob Roberts, founding pastor of NorthWood Baptist Church, Keller, Texas, and Jim Slack, a speaker and author on church growth and church planting for the International Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention.

MBC Worship Specialist Bill Shiflett is scheduled to lead worship both days. The conference starts at 7 p.m. May 23 and runs until about 8:30 p.m. before resuming at 8:30 a.m. May 24 and going until about 3:30 p.m., with a lunch break from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
