Star Hope Baptist Church gives to HLG’s Carroll Missions Center

March 22, 2005

Hannibal – Star Hope Baptist Church, Elsberry, recently presented Woodrow Burt of Hannibal-LaGrange College with a donation of more than $11,500 for the newly constructed Carroll Missions Center. The Carroll Missions Center was completed in October of 2004 and serves as the center for recruitment and training of students called to short-term or full-time missions. The center provides training and resources for students to use on the mission-field.

“We appreciate the missions vision for Christian higher education God has given Hannibal-LaGrange College as a faithful partner in ministry with Missouri Baptists. We give God the glory for the privilege, through this financial contribution, to help Hannibal-LaGrange fulfill this vision,” said Star Hope Pastor Allen Calkins.

Giving opportunities for the Carroll Missions Center are still available. For more information, or to make a contribution to the campaign, contact the office of Institutional Advancement at Hannibal-LaGrange College, (573) 221-3675, ext. 344 or by email at cbenson@hlg.edu.
