NASHVILLE (BP) – Updated housing options for the SBC Annual Meeting were available beginning April 26 at 8 a.m. Central Time. Those with hotel reservations at or near the Gaylord Opryland Hotel will have the opportunity to shift to any of 19 downtown hotel options. MBTS Spurgeon Library receives donation, releases latest ‘Lost Sermons’ volumes
KANSAS CITY – The Spurgeon Library at Midwestern Seminary recently added to its growing collection of resources courtesy of a generous donation from Leroy Cole, a former longtime pastor in the Flint, Michigan area. NASHVILLE (BP) – The 2021 SBC Annual Meeting will move to the Music City Center in downtown Nashville June 15-16, the SBC Executive Committee announced, April 15. NASHVILLE (BP) – The submission portal for 2021 SBC resolutions opened April 15 at 12:01 am. In accordance with SBC Bylaw 20, proposed resolutions may be submitted as early as April 15 but no later than 15 days prior to the SBC Annual Meeting, giving the Resolutions Committee a two-week period in which to consider submissions. Missouri DR responds to Kentucky floods
STANTON, Ky. – A team of ten Missouri Disaster Relief (DR) volunteers traveled to Stanton, Ky., the week of March 7-13 to assist with flood relief. The Missouri team was an Incident Management Team (IMT) sent to help coordinate the efforts of several Kentucky Baptist DR teams who were responding with flood recovery efforts. Missouri DR sends truckloads of water during Texas freeze
BONHAM, Texas – Director of Missions Darrell Hathcock said, “Please say thank you to Missouri Baptists for sending the truckloads of bottled water to us.” Missouri Baptists sent four truckloads (two semi trucks and two box trucks) to Texas Baptists during a recent cold snap there. The low temperatures caused an energy crisis with power outages and water shortages.
