SPRINGFIELD – Missouri Baptist Convention (MBC) Executive Board members will meet immediately prior to – and immediately after – this year’s annual meeting here, Oct. 26-28.
During a 1 p.m. meeting on Oct. 26, the board is scheduled to deal with committee recommendations and to finalize its report and recommendations to messengers at the annual meeting.
Immediately following the annual meeting, Oct. 28, new Executive Board members will also gather alongside new MBC entity trustees – from Hannibal-LaGrange University, Southwest Baptist University, the Missouri Baptist Children’s Home, the Baptist Home, Missouri Baptist University, the Christian Life Commission and the Historical Commission – for a new board member/trustee orientation.
Five Executive Board members, who are retiring from the board this year, will be recognized at this year’s annual meeting. They are Douglas Clinton, minister, First Baptist, Senath; Menk Ferguson, minister, First Baptist Church, Arnold; Larry Gibson, minister, Fellowship Baptist, Kirksville; Darrell Payne, member, Cornerstone Baptist, Sedalia; and Monte Shinkle, minister, Concord Baptist Church, Jefferson City.
