3MT a byproduct of the Missouri Missions Offering

By Brian Koonce
Staff Writer

TIPTON – Your gifts to last year’s Missouri Missions Offering helped some people see for the first time God’s love in action this summer.

The Mid-Missouri Missions Team (3MT) is a partnership between Lamine Association and Fortuna Baptist Church and receives funding from the Rheubin L. South Missouri Missions Offering.

Last year saw more than 100 students from not just Missouri, but also Illinois, Tennessee and Arkansas. This summer’s project saw even more flooding into central Missouri as volunteer numbers topped 200.

“We call our missionaries ‘Life Changers,’ and by the end of the week they’re telling me just whose life they’ve changed,” Kevin Kohler, 3MT organizer said.

Through random acts of kindness like painting, yard work and more, 3MT showed God’s love to a community, beginning with a simple question.

“We just go up to someone’s house and ask is there anything we can do for you?” Kohler said. “3MT is really a small church project that ends up being a pretty big project.”
