Lawmakers birth 4 pro-life bills
JEFFERSON CITY – With just a little over 24 hours to go before the session closed, the Missouri General Assembly passed legislation protecting the lives of unborn babies in their final weeks before birth. Sent to the governor’s desk was legislation which will prohibit the abortion of any infant after he or she has reached 20 weeks gestation. Cross carried across state
OAK GROVE – From west to east, Missouri Baptists from across the state prayer walked and carried a cross along U.S. Highway 50 the week leading up to Easter. Seventy-five people registered to carry the cross, and dozens of unregistered volunteers helped get the cross from the Kansas border to the Illinois border April 13-22, an average of a little more than 25 miles a day. Alternatives to Abortion headed for a friendlier home
JEFFERSON CITY–Missouri’s Alternatives to Abortion program is taking a cut in next year’s appropriations budget, but pro-life groups are not complaining. JEFFERSON CITY—Dozens of Muslim women in head scarves came to the State Capitol on April 13 to extol the virtues of Sharia Law as they met with representatives and senators. Rep. Entertainers tax relief bill advances
