BRIDGETON — Missouri Baptist Children’s Home (MBCH) – and its four subsidiary corporations – has a new look on the Internet. The web site is still found at www.mbch.org, but features easier navigation, more detail, more information and more resources, said Derald Harris, MBCH director of public relations. The new web site divides the MBCH’s five corporations and explains the role they play in the MBCH family, he noted.
Visitors to the MBCH’s Home page can explore the history and purpose of MBCH, discover employment and volunteer opportunities, learn about up-coming events, download copies of "The Messenger," discover "fast facts" about the hurting children in Missouri and what MBCH is doing to help. It is also possible to download the 2001 MBCH Annual Report and much more.
The MBCH Children and Family Ministries page allows users to explore the different programs and services of the Children’s Home, download applications for placement and/or foster/adoptive services (or fill out the forms on-line), and see who is on the M BCH Children & Family Ministries Board.
The MBCH Properties page allows readers to see some of the facilities on each campus, learn what programs are offered on the campus, discover what items are needed for the children on each campus and see who is serving Missouri Baptists on the MBCH Prop erties Board.
The MBCH Foundation page lets viewers learn how foundation development officers can help Missouri Baptists increase their present income, lower present and future taxes, and leave more to heirs while making a gift to help the children at MBCH.
"You can see (on the foundation page) the exciting changes that are planned for the Bridgeton Campus and learn how you can play an important role in providing improved facilities for the children," Harris said. "You can also order Birthday Offering supp lies for your church, learn about the "Mile of Pennies" Campaign, and learn how you can schedule an MBCH Foundation Development Officer to come to your church to present an Estate Planning Seminar."
The MBCH Professional Development Institute page allows viewers to see what seminars and workshops are offered to help anyone who works with children.
"You can also read about the new Learning Centers that will become an exciting part of the MBCH services, Harris said.
"On every page you will find a link to our prayer needs, additional web-based resources, and much, much more," he added. "Visit the MBCH web site today and receive a blessing."
