LOUIS (BP) – World War II veteran Bill McAnany, until recent years a Missouri resident and one of 2,000 living survivors of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, was introduced to the Southern Baptist Convention as messengers honored America and recognized military veterans June 14 at the SBC’s annual meeting in St. Louis. 10 motions referred to entities

ST. LOUIS (BP) – Messengers to the Southern Baptist Convention proposed 22 motions, the most since 2010. Ten motions were referred to convention entities for further study and for a report at the 2017 SBC meeting in Phoenix. Miller calls for new kind of conference

SOUIX CITY, Iowa – David Miller, pastor of Southern Hills Baptist Church was elected the president of the SBC Pastor’s Conference, June 13. Crossover projects bring thousands to St. Louis

BADEN – Stretching from north county St. Louis almost halfway to Cape Girardeau and from Union to East St. Louis, Missourians turned out in force on the hottest day of the year for Crossover, the evangelistic push preceding the Southern Baptist Convention annual meeting. Nearly 4,000 volunteers – many from Missouri – took part in more than 8,000 gospel conversations at 85 events around the metro area. 556 people accepted Christ as a result of those conversations. EXPLAINER: Protecting children through the 2026 Chloe Cole Act

The Chloe Cole Act of 2026, named for the advocate Chloe Cole who has publicly shared about the horrors of being pushed into “transitioning” in her early teens, prohibits gender transition procedures for minors through regulating interstate commerce. Cole will visit the Missouri Baptist Convention’s Hannibal-LaGrange University, March 25, as the featured speaker for the school’s latest Free Society events.
