Lebanese family finds home at HLGU
HANNIBAL – From Tyre, Lebanon, Laya, Selina and Lynn Yamout have found their second home halfway across the world at Hannibal-LaGrange University. The Yamouts found out about HLGU through an alum who went on a mission trip to Lebanon. Laya had graduated high school but hadn’t decided on a college yet so she applied to HLGU. DALLAS COUNTY – Age doesn’t stop the Dallas County DOM from serving. Some people are amazed that Russell Adams is still in active ministry at age 90. Quilts raise funds for Children’s Home
DENECE MITCHELL/The Licking News LICKING – On Saturday, June 4, a group of ladies from the WMU Boone Creek Baptist Church traveled to First Baptist Church in Arnold for the 125th Strawberry Festival and Quilt Auction, which is held each year in June and raises funds to support the Missouri Baptist Children’s Home. Super! Youth profess faith, follow ministry call during camp
During two weeks of Super Summer this June, dozens of students professed faith in Christ or followed a call to ministry. JEFFERSON CITY – The Missouri Court of Appeals has denied a motion by the Missouri Baptist Foundation to reconsider and rehear its May 24 ruling, in which the court directed the Foundation to return governance to board members elected by the Missouri Baptist Convention (MBC). The May 24 decision by a unanimous three-judge panel restored governance of the Foundation to the MBC after more than a decade of control by a self-perpetuating board.
