Thousand Hills Baptist Association sends missionaries to help Alaska church plant
WASILLA, Alaska – The north Missouri mission team stepped out of the Anchorage, Alaska airport into much cooler weather and spectacular scenery as they prepared to ride in church vans 45 minutes north to the town of Wasilla. Missouri volunteers needed for Louisiana floods
BATON ROUGE – Leaders are desperately calling for volunteers as some 40,000 homes are still soggy from flooding in Louisiana. “The vast majority of those homes were not in a floodplain,” said Dwain Carter, director of Disaster Relief for the Missouri Baptist Convention (DR). “It’s just street after street, neighborhood after neighborhood with water in homes. MBC board recommends governing docs update
BRIDGETON – The MBC Executive Board on July 11 accepted recommended changes in certain MBC governing documents, culminating a two-year effort by a Board-appointed task force to review, simplify, and update them. The Board is scheduled to present these documents to messengers at the MBC Annual Meeting Oct. 24-26 in St. Charles. Executive board sets $14.8M budget
BRIDGETON – Meeting at the Missouri Baptist Children’s Home here, the Missouri Baptist Convention’s (MBC) executive board approved its 2017 budget, based on an overall $14.8 million Cooperative Program (CP) goal for the year.
