‘Old fashioned hard work’ the key to successful outreach, growth at rural Flemington church
FLEMINGTON – The village of Flemington is located in the rolling hills north of Bolivar in Polk County. A little over a hundred people live in the village. The Rondo Baptist Church is located outside of town on a country road. Three years ago they had about 25 people attending. But now there are about 75 in worship most Sundays. Congolese believers gather to form French-speaking church in Kirksville
KIRKSVILLE – A French-speaking congregation was formed November 19th at First Baptist Church, Kirksville. Joel Kabamba, a 2015 immigrant from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, is the pastor of the new mission church. Missouri Baptist Foundation’s trustees commit $100,000 grant to help churches build endowments
JEFFERSON CITY (MBF) – At their Dec. 8th meeting in Jefferson City, Mo, the Foundation board, elected by the Missouri Baptist Convention, met and affirmed its commitment of serving Missouri Baptists. The board set aside $100,000 of grant money to help churches create, develop and grow their own endowment through the Power of Five program.
