WARSAW – Fire insurance, a good thing to have before leaving earth. Worshippers at Cedar Grove Baptist Church in Warsaw also know that an insurance policy is a good investment to have while here, in case of fire, which is exactly what occurred to their church in August of last year. FBC Lowry City hosts sportsman’s extravaganza, wild game dinner

LOWRY CITY – Lions, tigers and bears, oh my! While not on the menu this year, alligator, kangaroo and elk were some of the exotic game enjoyed by more than 600 people attending the recent Sportsman’s Extravaganza and Wild Game Dinner in rural St. Clair County. ‘Taco Bout Missions’ to bring Christmas to MBCH

WARSAW – Taco Bout Missions is bringing in $500 and a sleigh full of gifts for the Missouri Baptist Children’s Home (MBCH). Four youth set their mind to target MBCH’s Christmas list with a month-long campaign, culminating with a walking taco meal held September 26. Arson suspected in church fire

WARSAW – Arson is suspected in a recent fire that destroyed a 25-foot-section of the worship center inside Cedar Grove Baptist Church in Warsaw, resulting in an estimated $50,000 worth of damage. The church pastor, Barry Edwards, said in addition to setting the fire the vandals broke in and stole several guitars and laptop computers valued at approximately $5,000. Church uses sweet tooth to promote MMO

WARSAW – Homemade Butterfinger Ice Cream, Carmel Apple Pie and Italian Cream Wedding Cake were just a few desserts that enticed a crowd to attend a recent ice cream social held at Poplar Baptist Church, kicking off a sweet campaign to raise awareness and money for the annual Missouri Missions Offering (MMO). Generous support blesses church camp for second year

WARSAW – Church camps across Missouri may find encouragement from the results of the second annual benefit dinner and auction held recently for Baptist Ridge Camp (BRC), which netted the facility approximately $22,000. Baptist Ridge Camp finds new camp manager, vision for multipurpose building

WARSAW – The gates at Baptist Ridge Camp, a facility of Fellowship Baptist Association (FBA) located in Warsaw, have opened on a new chapter as newly hired camp manager Randy Festervand, and his wife Melissa, assume the position upon the retirement of Jim Andrews, and his wife Jean, who served in this position for 16 years.
