IMB trustees appoint 71 missionaries, look toward deep investment in Great Commission task

International Mission Board trustees appointed 71 fully supported missionaries during their May 13-14 meeting near Richmond, Va. Missionaries approved for appointment will be recognized during a Sending Celebration on Tuesday, June 9, at 10:30 a.m. EDT. The event will be livestreamed on SBC annual meeting website.

Todd Chipman Releases 10 Questions About the Bible with Crossway

Midwestern Seminary celebrated the release of 10 Questions About the Bible: 30 Devotions for Kids, Teens, and Families, a new devotional resource by Todd Chipman, associate professor of biblical studies and dean of graduate studies at Midwestern Seminary. Published by Crossway, this release is part of the “10 Questions” series, which is designed to help young readers engage foundational Christian truths.

MBC gives $50,000 check to Send Relief Ministry Center

Missouri Baptist Convention (MBC) Executive Director Wes Fowler delivered a $50,000 gift last month to the Send Relief Ministry Center. Funds for the gift came out of the MBC’s 2025 underspend. “The ministry center,” MBC Executive Director Wes Fowler said, “provides assistance for those in need, life skills for those seeking employment, food for the hungry, clothing for the underprivileged, and gospel focused fellowship for everyone.”

Missouri Baptists support missionary housing renovation with $300,000 gift to the IMB

Because of the faithful giving of Missouri Baptist churches through the Cooperative Program, the Missouri Baptist Convention (MBC) was able to deliver a special $300,000 gift to the International Mission Board (IMB) last month. The gift, which came out of the MBC’s 2025 underspend, will be used to help renovate missionary housing at the IMB’s International Learning Center in Virginia.

Will the world be annihilated?

Before Jesus introduces us to new heavens and a new earth, he must first deal with the sinful corruption of the universe as we know it. This “day of the Lord” comes suddenly and unexpectedly, the way a thief uses the element of surprise to plunder the goods of unsuspecting victims. Mohler to call for ‘Truth & Unity’ amendment to SBC Constitution at annual meeting

Southern Baptist Theological Seminary President Albert Mohler announced his intention, May 18, to propose an amendment to Article III of the SBC Constitution that, he said, “would make clear” how cooperating Southern Baptist churches will view the role of women in the office of pastor/elder/overseer.
