One way to be the light is by giving generously to your church or Gospel-advancing ministries.

I wonder if God asks us to serve Him and is peppered with excuse after excuse of why we can’t serve. ... Make sure your “reasons” are not actually excuses, and find a way to intentionally serve God this week, and discover the joy of obedience while you have the freedom to serve.

Far too many people are still unaware of the impact of inflation on their daily lives. This sharp value decrease will impact an individual’s future well-being, retirement, and ability to give generously to the ministries and missions they love. Churches, Universities, ministries, and associations will also be forced to raise more money to do the same ministry. This should motivate us to save, invest, and give more!

I recently had the opportunity to visit Beaufort, South Carolina, for the annual gathering of State Baptist Foundation Presidents. Amid our meetings, strategy sessions and prayer, we had a bit of time to explore the area’s history.
