SBU approves recommendation of Reeves to new Courts Redford Chair

BOLIVAR – The Southwest Baptist University (SBU) board of trustees met Oct. 15 and approved a recommendation by university president C. 80-year-old pastor leads 104 inmates to Christ

LEBANON – Since January, 80-year-old Samuel Price has led 104 inmates in Laclede County Jail to profess faith in Jesus Christ, and a car wreck south of Camdenton, has not dampened his evangelistic fervor. Price, who serves as pastor of Wood Street Baptist Church, Lebanon, has practiced jail ministry for nearly four years. Norwood – Pastor Stephen Fugitt believes that churches have the right to arm themselves for the day when a gunman enters their buildings to do harm. Yet no one had time to open fire against a gunman who aimed his .357 magnum revolver at Fugitt as he preached to his congregation at the First Baptist Church of Norwood, July 21. KANSAS CITY – In resolutions submitted for consideration at the Missouri Baptist Convention’s (MBC) 2013 annual meeting, the MBC’s Christian Life Commissioncriticized recent attempts to legitimize homosexuality and redefine marriage. Coleman, the author of The Master Plan of Evangelism, and Atlanta pastor Dhati Lewis will headline the “CORE” sessions of the Missouri Baptist Convention’s annual meeting, Oct. 29.
