Cooperative Program equips hispanic pastors across Missouri

In late spring of 1993, I received an invitation to come to Missouri through the Language and Missions Department of the Missouri Baptist Convention. The program was called Super Summer. I was living at the time in Los Angeles, and I was recommended by a pastor friend of mine to Mauricio Vargas, who at the time oversaw ethnic ministries for Missouri Baptists.

Supreme Court restores parents’ rights to opt children out of LGBTQ storybook time

The United States Supreme Court ruled Friday (June 27) that parents of public-school children in Montgomery County, Md., have a right to opt their kids out of classroom reading times with books the school board labels as “LGBTQ inclusive.”
