MODR interns log many miles in summer service

This summer, Aaron Werner, Missouri Disaster Relief Collegiate Coordinator, and his 12 interns have been sent to Sikeston (twice), Doniphan, and St. Louis, Missouri, as well as Spencer Iowa (twice), Houston, Texas, and Ruidoso, New Mexico.

Collegiate Week gives IMB prime opportunity to connect with NextGen

How important is Collegiate Week to the International Mission Board? It’s important enough that 25 IMB personnel attended the most recent event, with half being overseas missionaries. On August 4-8, more than 1,700 students and college ministry leaders from across the U.S. and Canada met at Falls Creek Baptist Conference Center, near Davis, Oklahoma.

Friends with lasting impact

If you’re experiencing one of those seasons in life when close friends are not as accessible, could I encourage you to keep praying, asking the Lord to send a bud your way? Who knows? He might drop one right in front of you. Like in a church hallway. It could happen. Meanwhile, Psalm 37:23-24 tells us that, “The LORD makes firm the steps of the one who delights in him; though he may stumble, he will not fall, for the Lord upholds him with his hand,” (NIV). Whether there is a friend nearby or not, the Lord is never absent or inattentive. Even if there’s a bit of a spill, we’re lovingly held.
