Pastor Greg Laurie said the spiritual awakening portrayed in the new movie “Jesus Revolution” is still making an impact today, including his own life and ministry. The basis of the movie is the Jesus Movement of the late 1960s and early 1970s.
It is interesting that many Missourians, including many Missouri Baptists, are clamoring for parental rights to be codified in state statute, while at the same time not exercising the foremost political right and responsibility that we all possess.
At the first of March, the International Mission Board counted more than 1,200 candidates in the missionary application process. This is a significant milestone for Southern Baptists, as the number of missionary candidates in 2019 was 300.
The next 100 years of the Missouri Woman’s Missionary Union (MWMU) will begin at First Baptist Church, Poplar Bluff, on April 14-15. Early-bird registration for the MWMU celebration ends on March 15.
