The pro-life measure was the only such amendment approved this year in any state, Nov. 3. A similar measure failed in Colorado, where voters were asked to limit abortions to fetuses no older than 22 weeks.
Michael Wilbanks of Faith Baptist Church, Festus, spoke on behalf of his resolution, saying Missouri Baptists “are decidedly against abortion, and decidedly against fetal tissue research.”
