“Well, I think one lesson is that Southern Baptists should never assume that the ‘Battle for the Bible’ is over. Periodically, Southern Baptists are going to have to restate their bedrock convictions about the inerrancy of Scripture, and also the sufficiency of Scripture now. So I think Southern Baptists need to learn that they've got to always be vigilant to maintain the authority of Scripture."
