Celebrating a recent increase of Cooperative Program giving within the state, Missouri Baptist Convention Executive Board members set the CP goals for 2019 during their board meeting, March 5-6.
The International Mission Board began the search for a successor to David Platt to lead the SBC entity during their Feb. 28-March 1 meeting in the Richmond, Va., area.
The president of the Executive Committee, Dr. Frank Page, said in his address that “less than 2,000 churches in our convention give 50 percent of all Cooperative Program receipts.”
“Some ministers are called to the pulpit, and others are called to The Branches,” Greta Bradley said. The Branches at Brookline is a MBCH residence for developmentally disabled adults.
