KANSAS CITY – Messengers re-elected the same slate of Missouri Baptist Convention (MBC) officers, all whom of who were nominated and elected without opposition across the three days of the MBC Annual Meeting.
Wesley Hammond, pastor of First Baptist, Paris was re-elected to a second term as president, after his nomination by Mitch Jackson, pastor of Miner Baptist Church in Sikeston and a former MBC president. There were no other nominations.
Jonathan McGuire from Bridge of Faith Community Church in Rockaway Beach, nominated Neil Franks, pastor of First Baptist Church, Branson, for first vice president.
Joshua Hedger, recently named the director of the Church Planting Center at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, was elected second vice president. He was nominated by Matt Marrs, a member of Northland Baptist Church, Kansas City.
Justin Mosher, pastor of Fifth Street Baptist Church, Hannibal, nominated David Krueger, pastor of First Baptist, Linn, for recording secretary.
