HANNIBAL — Hannibal-LaGrange University (HLGU) is happy to announce that ticket sales are now open for the 72nd annual Booster Banquet featuring Dove Award Winner and Gospel Singer Lynda Randle to be held Nov. 22. Tickets can be purchased online at hlg.edu/boosterbanquet or via phone by calling 573-629-3126.
Lynda was born and raised in Washington, D.C. Growing up a part of the D.C. inner-city culture, Lynda experienced the pain and anguish that can rarely be imagined by the majority of Christian America. Since giving her life to the Lord Jesus Christ, He has used the scars of her youth to bring a distinct depth and richness to her ministry.
In addition to telling her extraordinary story, Lynda has agreed to put on a mini concert and will be singing with HLGU’s Concert Choir. Lynda’s distinct alto voice has created opportunities for her to minister across the United States and around the world. She has been a favorite on the Gaither Homecoming series and videos. Her two most requested songs are “God on the Mountain” and “I’m Free.” In 2005, she won a Dove Award for her album, “A Tribute to Mahalia Jackson.”
The doors will open at 6 p.m. and the event will begin at 7 p.m. Ticket prices are $50 for general admission and $150 for executive admission. This special ticket includes reserved parking, admission to a private reception with Lynda Randle starting at 6 p.m., and a special reserved seat at the banquet. Attendees to the private reception will be able to meet Lynda and have a photo taken with her. For $1,000 you can sponsor a table which includes eight executive tickets at a special price.
